Library policies
Borrowing policy:
- Students in Kindergarten may take out one book for
one week
- Students in Grade 1 take out one book weekly, but
take out 2 books after the routine of checkout is
learned
- Grades 3-8 may check out 2 books weekly unless they
are working on a project. Then the number may be
increased at the discretion of the Librarian.
Overdue policy
- If books are not returned on time, students are
given a one week grace period to return their materials.
- After one week the book is considered overdue and
the student will be charged at a rate of ten cents per
day.
- If a book is lost, it must be replaced or a
replacement cost must be paid: paperbacks: $5;
hardcovered: $20 or more; magazines: $4; and
encyclopedia or reference books $30 or cost, if known.
- EXCEPTION: Kindergarten students are not charged
overdue fees.
